Tales from Suburban Bohemia: GX Hosting UPDATE

This is an update to my earlier column, GX Hosting.

We got Phleetwood.com back!

Eventually GX Hosting’s ownership of the domain lapsed and the site is now in the hands of Stumpy Moose’s Mike Dutton.

The site’s going to be used as a sort of professional web design division but I’m a bit hazy on the details at the moment.

The GX problems continue to dog us, however.

The StumpyMoose.com website was originally registered with our hosts, Webstrike, as Phleetwood.com, because we didn’t realize that we didn’t own the domain.

Now that Mike has also registered Phleetwood.com with Webstrike there’s a bit of conflict and confusion between the two sites, adding to technical problems we’ve been having since Lee’s computer crashed.

For these reasons we haven’t been able to add much new content over the last few weeks.

We’ll soon have it fixed though, I hope, and there’s a lot of new stuff in the pipeline.
